Nixie Tube Watch

Introduction

Learn about analog electronics and build your own wearable nixie watch!

Target Audience:

• Anyone who wants a cool watch!
• Analog electronics
• DIY electronics
• Miniature electronics, wearables, and product design

Curriculum:

• Soldering
• Simple PCB design / KiCAD
• High-voltage electronics
• What are Nixie tubes, VFDs, Numitrons, etc. and how do they work?
• Practice of engineering design (“How do I turn this idea into a real thing?”)

Logistics:

• $50 payment required in addition to Lab Membership (these watches are $400+ online, and for good reason – Nixie tubes are rare!)
